Privacy Policy

Warfront Games LLC ("Warfront™", "we", "us") makes a battle-map and token tool for tabletop roleplaying games. This policy explains what personal information we collect on our website and in the Warfront app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need, and we do not sell personal information.

What we collect

On our website and newsletter

• Your email address, if you join our newsletter list.
• Basic technical data from your visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you view. Our website host collects this through standard analytics and cookies.
• Anything you send us when you email us.

In the Warfront app

• Game Masters: your email address and a password, or, if you choose "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Discord", the name, email address and profile picture link that service shares with us (we never receive your Google or Discord password, and we ask for nothing beyond basic profile and email), plus the plan you're on. Email addresses that come from Google or Discord count as confirmed.
• Players: the display name you enter. Players do not need an account or email address.
• Game content: maps, tokens, character sheets, notes, chat and pictures you upload, and the settings of your table. This is stored so that everyone at your table sees the same game and so you can come back to it.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser details, and error logs, used to keep the service working and secure.
• Payment information: when paid plans launch, payments are handled by our payment provider and Merchant of Record, Paddle. We receive your name, billing country, email and the status of your subscription. We never see or store your full card number.

How we use it

• To run the app, keep your tables available, and let your players join.
• To send you the newsletter or product updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• To send account and security emails, and trial tips, as described under Emails we send you.
• To process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service secure.
• To fix bugs, measure how the site is used, and improve Warfront.
• To answer your questions and meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We share information only with companies that help us run Warfront, and only as needed:

• our website host, Cloudflare;
• our website sign-up form provider, FormSubmit;
• our email service for company mail, Google Workspace;
• our sender of account and trial emails from the app, Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES), part of Amazon Web Services;
• our app hosting and backup provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS);
• Google and Discord, only if you choose to sign in with them, as described below;
• our payment provider and Merchant of Record, Paddle, once paid plans launch.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users and Warfront. If Warfront is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

Within a game, other people at the same table can see the content shared there, including your display name. A Game Master controls who is invited to their table and what is visible to their players, and is responsible for the maps and images they upload.

Signing in with Google or Discord

If you choose "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Discord", you are sent to that company to approve the sign-in, and it tells us your name, email address and profile picture link. We use them only to create and sign you in to your Warfront account, never to advertise to you, and we do not sell them or share them with anyone beyond the companies listed above. We do not read or change anything else in your Google or Discord account. Warfront's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can stop Warfront's access at any time in your Google or Discord account settings, and you can ask us to delete your Warfront account as described under Your choices and rights. Google and Discord handle your information under their own privacy policies.

Emails we send you

We send two kinds of email from the app. Account and security notices, such as email confirmation, password resets, new sign-in alerts, trial-ending notices and warnings before data is deleted, are needed to run your account and cannot be turned off. Trial tips, such as a welcome message and a reminder to invite your players, come from support@warfrontgames.com and include an unsubscribe link in every message. Newsletter and update emails also include an unsubscribe link.

Cookies and similar technology

Our website uses cookies and analytics from our host. Our website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, and loads a video from YouTube only when you press play, so those companies may receive your IP address and browser details. The Warfront app stores a sign-in token in your browser so that you stay joined to your table. When you sign in with Google or Discord, the app also sets short-lived cookies (lasting up to 30 minutes) to complete the sign-in securely and, if you typed a promo code, to carry it through. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the app may not keep you signed in if you do.

How long we keep it

Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe. New accounts that never confirm their email and never create or join a table are deleted after 7 days. Table content stays while the Game Master's table exists. If a Game Master deletes a table or closes their account, we delete its content, except for backups, which are removed within 30 days. We keep payment and tax records as long as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to see, correct, download or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time. Email us at support@warfrontgames.com and we will reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, such as the EU, the UK or certain U.S. states, you may have additional rights, including to object to or limit some uses, and to appeal a decision. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

Children

Warfront is for people aged 13 and over, and Game Masters must be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email support@warfrontgames.com and we will delete it.

Security

We protect your information with access controls, encrypted connections and backups. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password, and do not put sensitive personal information in game notes or chat.

International use

Warfront is operated from the United States, so your information will be processed there. If you use Warfront from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be transferred to and handled in the U.S.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make a significant change, we will post the new date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email or in the app.
